Annamarie Pond, D.O.

I am a local family doctor who has served in my community for over 10 years. I completed my residency training at CMMC in Lewiston, and attended medical school at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford. Prior to medical school, I worked as a research scientist in the field of neuropharmacology. I developed treatments for medical conditions such as drug addiction, movement disorders, dementia, and depression. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where I also earned an honors research fellowship award and completed an honors thesis.

I grew up primarily on Fort Devens (an army base) in Massachusetts which is where I met my partner, Kevin. We are a true team and have supported each other over the past 32 years through pursuing many careers, degrees, and dreams.  Our proudest accomplishment is our son. My mother and our two Bernedoodles (Bhalu and Kuma) are also part of our family. Family is absolutely what is most important to me.

I also love traveling. One of my happiest times as a doctor was spending a month in India on a medical mission as part of the Himalayan Health Exchange. I love to teach and continue teaching medical students both in the classroom and the clinic.

I am enjoying caring for many of my long-term patients who I have grown to know and love over the years and I am excited to build new doctor-patient relationships.  I am thrilled to bring Direct Primary Care to our community.  I look forward to working with you and being a part of your life.

Katie Bryant, M.A.

Hi everyone, I'm Katie!

I am a true Mainer, born and raised. Fun fact, I was born in the back of a car on the way to the hospital, I even made the front page of the newspaper for it!

I've spent my life growing up in this wonderful state and feel very blessed that I've been able to do so. I have an incredible eight year old son and a wild yet wonderful one year old shepherd mix, both of whom keep me very active. I love the outdoors!  Thankfully, living in Maine there is always a new adventure that awaits me, whether it be a hike in the woods, a snowshoe in the dead of winter, or best of all, a swim in Sebago Lake on the hottest of days in the summer.

I have worked in all aspects of the medical field for over half of my life, from in home care and day programs to nursing homes and many different roles in doctors' offices. After taking a few years off to spend with my son when he was young, I was lucky enough to get back into the swing of things as a Patient Service Representative at Central Maine OB/GYN. Shortly after being hired I signed on to an "earn while you learn" program where I was able to complete my medical assisting degree while working full time through MCHP, and also being a mom full time!  I then started as a medical assistant at that same office and spent years building wonderful relationships with each patient, and soaking up all the knowledge from the incredible providers and amazing staff that I could.  I still to this day have a passion for women's healthcare.

I have been lucky enough to have worked with Dr. Pond over the years at different practices and our goal is always the same; to build meaningful relationships with our patients, to care for them and work with them to reach their individual healthcare goals.

With Direct Primary Care, we are able to do just that, and are able to do it together. I am very blessed that I get to be a part of this journey with Dr. Pond and I look forward to being a part of your healthcare team.
